Youth Ceramics with Monika Mann- Session 2
Session 2 is open to both, students currently enrolled in the Session 1 (Age range has changed) as well as new students.
Students will learn hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques in the context of fun self directed projects. Topics will include mask making, creature sculpting, painting, carving, and functional ware such as mugs and bowls.
- Session 2: Mondays & Wednesdays from June 14, 2021- July 26, 2021 (6 weeks) 3:00-5:00 PM.

Dancers, actors, and those interested in rhythm work are invited to a workshop with international artists from Berlin, Germany, entitled Music in Motion: Surfing the Waves of Rhythm. Helmut Erler, a certified TaKeTiNa therapist, musician, and sound engineer, teams with dancer and choreographer Natascha Noack for a four-hour workshop at Kahua ‘Elua, the second-floor theatre at the East Hawai’i Cultural Center in downtown Hilo. The workshop is scheduled for June 29, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and is open to participants from age 12 through adult.
