Nicu's Spoon is proud to announce the 16th year of this production in Hawaii. Feb 22 and 23 at 7 PM are the show dates at The East Hawaii Cultural Center. We will be helping to produce 'The Vagina Monologues' on the Big Island of Hawaii.
It has been more than twenty years since Eve Ensler first shattered taboos with this powerful and incredibly poetic relevance of breaking barriers and bringing the violence against girls and women to the forefront of social consciousness. Through these monologues we will celebrate womanhood and condemn sexual oppression and the abuse of women's bodies: from a six-year old's innocent description of her vagina to a woman in her 70's from New York; from a vagina workshop participant to a woman being witness to the birth of her granddaughter; from a Bosnian rape survivor to a feminist who was happy to have a positive experience with a man; and so so many more.
